Detect the presence of antibodies to skin, in human serum.

Precaution:

  • Contaminated glassware are a source of errors

  • Avoid hemolysis and lipemic serum.

  • Avoid blood from the side of the I/V infusion which will lower the result.

Interfering factors:

  1. Age

  2. Sex

  3. Current disease

Pre analytical errors:

a) Missing sample and/or test request,

b) Wrong or missing identification,

c) Contamination from infusion route.

  1. Rapid test for diagnosis
