Uses
Gamma-glutamy ltransferase measurements are used in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases such as alcoholic cirrhosis and primary and secondary liver tumors.
Precautions

Send specimens in their original tubes.

Centrifuge tubes if there is a delay in transport of more than 1 hour.

Samples are stable for up to 30 days at 2 – 8ºC.
Interfering factor
Samples with moderate or marked hemolysis will be rejected.

If the report is not delivered to the patient and this error is discovered, fix it, but if the report is delivered to the patient, apologise to him, tell him that an error has occurred, and replace it with the correct report.
