detect O1 and O139 serogroups of V. cholerae.
Precaution :

a stool sample was collected in a clean (non-disinfected), unused container

after the 4–6 hour incubation of APW at ambient temperature two drops of enriched medium were placed in the test tube and the dipstick was inserted.

Theresult was read after 15 minutes

Make sure you write the correct name in the report or use codes that contain all patient data .

If the report is not delivered to the patient and this error is discovered the correct result must be written, but if the report is delivered to the patient must communicate with him and tell him that an error has occurred and replace with the correct report.
Reference range:

The test was considered positive if the control line and either line T2 (O1) or T1 (O139) or both (O1 and O139) showed pinkish red lines
-
negative if the control line only showed a pinkish red line
-
invalid if the control line did not show any coloration.
